Our team publishes an article in BMC Health Services Research

Our team recently published an article in the journal BMC Health Services Research entitled Pregnant women's views on how to promote the use of a decision aid for Down syndrome prenatal screening: a theory-informed qualitative study. The decision about whether to undergo Down syndrome prenatal screening is not an easy one for pregnant women and their partners. Patient decision aids can help patients made informed decisions. In this study, the authors used the Behaviour Change Wheel, which is a method for designing and evaluating interventions, to identify behaviour change techniques that could lead pregnant women to want to use the patient decision aid for Down syndrome prenatal screening. Next, the authors explored the perceptions of pregnant women about these pre-identified behaviour change techniques.
