Members of our team recently published an article in PLOS ONE, entitled : Responsiveness of a simple tool for assessing change in behavioral intention after continuing professional development activitieshttp://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0176678.
Continuing professional development (CPD) activities are a way to translate new knowledge into actual changes in practice. However, few tools exist to evaluate the extend of CPD activities on health professionals’ clinical behavioral intentions. The authors developed a questionnaire entitled CPD-Reactions to evaluate their intentions. The questionnaire was responsive to change in behaviorial intentions. However, health professionals brought up barriers that need to be addressed before future implementation.
