General objectives Knowledge: to gain knowledge on indication, ethics, goals and evidence of SDM and on quality criteria of evidence-based patient information.

Skills: to develop skills in recognizing and responding to implementation barriers and in using decision support techniques (such as decision aids).

Competence: to develop competences (given or not given a corresponding decision aid) to involve patients in consideration of their own decisions and to evaluate own attempts to SDM using the MAPPIN’SDM concept of quality
Format 6 hours group course (up to 10 participants) combined with individual follow up session applying different behaviour change techniques: lectures, role-play, interactive observation, provision of individual feedback, Group discussions.
