General objectives Knowledge: to gain knowledge on indication, ethics, goals and evidence of SDM and on quality criteria of evidence-based patient information.

Skills: to develop skill in recognizing and responding to implementation barriers and in using decision support techniques (such as decision aids) to structure SDM decision processes.

Competencies: to develop competences in reflecting interprofessional cooperation, establishing a interprofessional approach to SDM in the particular ward and in evaluating own attempts to involve the patient in terms of the MAPPIN’SDM concept of quality
Format Six hours entire units/teams trained partly on a interprofessional bases and partly separated (physicians /other HCP). Common parts apply lectures, group discussion, presentation of edited video samples, interprofessional learning. Separate parts employ role play, observation and feedback (according to decision coach module) and analysis of own video samples using the MAPPIN’SDM observer scales (like doktormitSDM module for doctors).
