Virginie Blanchette deserved the Pamela E Houghton Grant from Wounds Canada


Virginie Blanchette, was awarded the Pamela E Houghton Grant by Wounds Canada in recognition of her program in development, namely to develop shared decision making for the management of diabetic plantar ulcers, and to act for vulnerable populations with diabetic foot complications, including Indigenous peoples.
Dr. Blanchette is supervised by Dr. France Légaré (Université Laval Faculty of Medicine, Department of Family and Emergency Medicine) and co-supervised by Dr. Charles de Mestral (Department of Surgery, Vascular Surgery, University of Toronto) and Ms. Yvette Plourde (patient partner).
