Our team has published an article in the International Journal of Health policy and Management entitled : "Patient Engagement and its Evaluation Tools – Current Challenges and Future Directions; Comment on “Metrics and Evaluation Tools for Patient Engagement in Healthcare Organization- and System-Level Decision-Making: A Systematic Review”". This commentary aimed to 1) highlight the definition and importance of patient engagement, 2) discuss the psychometric properties of the patient engagement evaluation tools identified in a recent review on patient engagement in healthcare organization- and system-level decision-making and 3) suggest future directions for patient engagement and its evaluation tools.
